Nadiadwala Grandson, the banner behind Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s upcoming film ‘Bawaal’, has announced that the movie’s release date has been pushed back from April 7 to October 6. The film, directed by National Award-winning director Nitesh Tiwari, will see Varun and Janhvi share screen space for the first time. Both actors took to their Instagram accounts to share the news with their fans.
‘Bawaal’ is a romantic comedy that follows the story of a small-town boy who is smitten by the town’s most beautiful woman and sets out to marry her in order to improve his social status. The film also features Parth Siddhpura, Arnob Khan Akib and Aariz Saiyed in pivotal roles.
Varun Dhawan was last seen in ‘Bhediya’ alongside Kriti Sanon, while Janhvi Kapoor’s last big-screen outing was in ‘Mili’ and ‘Good Luck Jerry’ last year. With the new release date, fans will have to wait a bit longer to see the duo’s chemistry on the big screen.
The decision to postpone the release could be due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the film industry. The production house may have decided to push back the release to allow for a wider audience and a better box-office performance. Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of ‘Bawaal’ and the delay is sure to only increase their anticipation.
